Christoph Huber is a Swiss musician whose creative world centers around the tenor saxophone — expanded through electronic effects, modular synthesis, and experimental performance techniques. Rooted in jazz and shaped by texture, technology, and improvisation, his sound blurs the lines between the acoustic and the electronic.
Raised in a musically rich environment and later trained in Jazz Performance at Berklee College of Music, Huber began on piano, drums, and guitar before finding his voice in the saxophone — later extending to clarinets and flute. After time in the NYC Jazz scene, his work evolved toward a more exploratory, genre-blending approach. Under his own name, he has released projects such as I Am Sound and the acoustic quartet album Heir.
Back in Switzerland, Huber founded Cantina Studio in a former industrial space in Basel, where his solo project Bossada took shape. His setup merges reel-to-reel machines, analog gear, Max/MSP systems, and a guitar-style effects rig for saxophone. Beyond his own projects, Cantina Studio serves as a collaborative hub — a space where Huber works with artists across genres to help bring their creative visions to life.
